Beats launches Beats Studio Buds with ANC and Transparency Mode

Beats Studio Buds

Beats has launched its truly wireless stereo (TWS) Beats Studio Buds with active noise-cancellation and transparency mode. The buds look similar to the rumored stemless Apple AirPods, which are likely to launch later this year. Beats Studio Buds are priced at $149.99 (Rs. 11,000 approximately) will only be available for purchase in the US and Canada through the Apple website. The studio buds are available in Black, White, and Beats Red colors and come with three silicone ear tip sizes (small, medium, or large) for a customized fit. The earbuds will ship from June 24.

Beats Studio Buds feature a proprietary dual-element diaphragm driver within a two-chamber housing with an advanced digital processor, optimizing the audio performance for loudness and clarity. In addition, beats Studio Buds feature Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) to keep unwanted sound out of the listener’s ears and Transparency mode that lets you hear your surroundings. Instead of touch controls, the Beats Studio Buds feature a single physical button. Users can switch between these modes by pressing and holding the physical switch that can be used to control music, calls, and switch between ANC and Transparency modes.

Unlike the AirPods, the Beats Studio Buds also comes with one-touch pairing on both Apple and Android devices. The earbuds will pair simply by opening the case near an Android or iOS. This functionality was earlier limited between Apple devices and Apple Airpods. Apple users can activate Siri hands-free on Beats Studio Buds by saying, “Hey Siri.”

Android users will have to use the Beats app to use built-in controls, to check battery levels and firmware updates. These functions are built into the operating system on Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, and Mac). Beats Studio Buds promises up to 8 hours of listening time. Using Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) or Transparency mode limits this to 5 hours of listening time. The charging case supports a USB Type-C port for wired charging giving up to 1 hour of playback on a 5-minute charge. Beats Studio Buds offer an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance.
